Recovery from a substance addiction is possible. We offer compassionate medication-aided outpatient treatment plans to help our patients overcome addiction. Don’t wait to get help! The earlier one can receive a diagnosis and begin treatment, the more quickly they can reach a full and sustained recovery.

It’s important to get outside help to navigate the path to recovery. No matter what the family dynamics are, it can be complicated to journey through the challenges of addiction without professional assistance.

Our medical team is trained to guide patients through the recovery process using a variety of methods including medication, emotional support, referrals for therapy, and building social support.

Addiction Recovery with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

The ultimate goal of MAT is full recovery from addiction. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is the combined use of medication and counseling to provide a “whole-patient” approach to the treatment of substance abuse disorders. MAT programs are personalized to meet each patient’s needs using medication that is approved by the FDA. Research shows that MAT can help with sustained recovery as well as reduce or prevent incidences of opioid overdose.

Medication-Assisted Treatment is primarily used for the treatment of opioid addiction, heroin addiction, alcohol addiction, and addiction to pain relievers that contain opiates. The medication used in MAT operates to balance brain chemistry and relieve cravings without the negative effects of the addictive substances.

Benefits of MAT also include:

  • Improved patient survival rates
  • Increased retention in treatment
  • Decreased opiate use
  • Decreased criminal activity among people with substance abuse disorders
  • Increased ability to maintain employmen
  • Improved birth outcomes among pregnant women who have substance abuse disorders
